Hello Mark and others using SATPC32 and IC-9700,
This IC-9700 Setup Instruction on Erich's site was very helpful and I now have communication between the PC and the IC-9700. It also appears that the Downlink and Uplink frequencies are getting populated properly for most satellites. The Doppler shifting is also working now.
I seem to have a discrepancy with satellites that Rx and Tx on the same band, such as IO-117 that uses 70cm for both uplink and downlink. The Downlink frequency is communicated correctly from SATPC32 to the Upper section of the IC-9700 on 70cm. Yet the Lower portion of the IC-9700 shows a 2m frequency even thought SATPC32 shows that it is sending a 70cm frequency. The "TX" symbol on the IC-9700 appears only on the lower part of the display (this is the second receiver) so I cannot Tx on 70cm. The 2m Frequency is a remnant from the previous satellite that I selected. The IC-9700 cannot Rx and TX on the same band on its 2 separate transmitters/receivers in the rig.
How are users of the IC-9700 working with this? Is what I have here NORMAL?
I am a lot closer to getting this all working. Thank you.
