The only currently available HT that does U/V and V/U sat modes well is the Kenwood TH-D72a, at about $450.

SO ... Many are simply purchasing two "traditional" HTs to accomplish true, full-duplex satellite work.

I like the Yaesu FT-60R. Two of them plus an Arrow 146/437-10WBP antenna cost the same amount as that Kenwood 'D72a!
