The K3 command set is very Kenwood like. I'm going to my shore home for the day tomorrow, if I have some spare time I will try to communicate with my K3(with internal 2m module) with SatPC32 as a Kenwood, just to see how far we can get....

Ed,
Do Elecraft rigs have their own unique CAT command set, or do them use the same basic set as Kenwood, Yaesu, or Icom? If so, you MAY be able to use them with SatPC32. For instance, my Flex VU-5K uses the Kenwood set, and behaves much like a TS-2000. SatPC32 supports some Kenwood rigs "Other" in the way you are discussing.
