The Rice University newspaper, The Thresher, first published in 1916, has gone electronic only, but perhaps not permanently. I enjoy receiving hard copy, but as we change with the times, I could be convinced. PDF works really well for many.

I was very pleased when ARRL made electronic copies of QST available along with downloadable copies of past issues. I could finally dispose of those magazine boxes stores on the top closet shelf. Doing something similar for The AMSAT Journal would be great. It even would allow color to be used in the articles. I seldom need hard copies of many articles, so printing has not been a problem. PDF would be my format preference. We would get the Journal earlier and wouldn't have to store the old issues. I assume AMSAT would make available an online availability of past issues.
