It’s reviewed in the latest QST. ARRL labs measured the 12 dB SINAD for FM on both 2m and 70cm at 0.14 uV, which should be plenty fine.

The one thing that I think may be problematic with the R30 is overload from nearby RF in urban areas.

Its claimed sensitivity is in the 0.3 microvolt range, so I am curious if, with a 6dB or so handheld yagi, it would have good enough ears for receiving downlink signals.

Still looking for a DE QSO, by the way. I’m always happy to pass out FN54/Maine if anyone needs it.
