I'm sure Santa uses a Polar Orbit so that he can restock every hour and a half or so...I would bet that "flyovers" ranging from around Midnight to 4 am would pretty much fit his needs if Tom Hanks and Chevy Chase don't get in his way.

The grand kids would like to track Santa Christmas eve, just to make sure
he is on his way. Anyone got any Keps for him and his team of reindeer?
Merry Christmas.. Keith N4ZQ
