If you want to get rid of paper predictions try http://amsat.org.ar/pass.htm
Will give you an easy & intuitive azimuth/elevation graphic and actual doppler corrected frequencies while the bird passes.
Also will work offline internet at the field from your smartphone/tablet.

Rotators are great, but I've been thinking about a lower-cost and more portable alternative. My method is not better - just different.
After carefully monitoring comments from others here and elsewhere online, tonight all the pieces came together and the scheme actually worked even better than I expected. And I wasn't even in a particularly good location!
Basically, I used a couple of the dual-band Arrow antennas that many people already have.
