I didn't know the 703 was discontinued. Sigh--I wanted to have some friends get them.
I'd like to think that Icom will come out with other radios, but given the current economy, will they do that, I wonder.

Kenwood - very unlikely, their next two major radios will be HF+6m.
Yaesu - who knows? Would be good though.

Is anyone hearing any rumors of new satellite rigs on the horizon (pun intended)? The TS2000 and Icom 910H are hitting 9 years on the market, and Yaesu isn't currently marketing a satellite rig.
