Gentlemen,
Please do not use D-Star via AO-51. If you want to try D-Star on satellite right now, use AO-27 where the control ops welcome it, or request some time set aside on AO-51 via the ao51-modes email address. The repeater modes on AO-51 are for analog voice only unless otherwise designated in the monthly schedule. Request some time on a second repeater to try the mode and it -will- be approved, but do not mix it up with the analog users.

Hi Drew
As i wrote in my previous message:
"As the first DSTAR satellite transmission has been made on AO-27 i don't know if the same test can be perform on AO-51."
I was asking a question only to know if as AO-27 DSTAR can be pass through AO-51. I guess the answer is yes as per your offer to ask for it in the monthly schedule? I choose this the last days of V/S mode to avoid "messing" with analog users.
From my first checking i will have to use another V/S session and i will have to switch my downconverter IF from 123mhz to 144mhz as my IC-
2200H digital mode does not operate out of the amateur band. (Always a last minute surprise when you test something...)
Just hope this new digital mode will be used on other sat as the audio quality is interference free and i don't know if DSTAR can solved the usual pagers QRM on the uplink and some other always curious sound we heard during this V/S session?
