I have been involved in many charitable organizations the past few decades. Appointing
a “bylaws committee” is the norm - and not opening it up for all members’ input during
an update process.
We elected to board because we trust them.
The folks we elected - and their appointees - have drawn up proposed bylaws. And
we all now have the opportunity to submit inquiries / suggestions. The entire membership
IS now involved in the process.
