Hi Bill, The Zoom 2 (Z2) map is always centered on the satellite to keep the satellite's footprint in the visible part of the map. Only the Z1 map can be centered on the user's location, on Greenwich or on the satellite..

Hi Folks,
Just got some quick and appreciated assistance from AMSAT HQ folks, lost 2 shack computers and with them my registered SatPC32s and the files with the registration code- Paul got me squared away in less than a day, and over the weekend on top of all that...
Reloaded SatPC32 v12.9 on WIN 10, install went OK, registration code was no problem. Set my observer location and expected the display to center on my location but it seems stuck on the center on satellite view. Tried center on Greenwich as well, no luck. I hit OK after selecting, no change, then selected STORE after verifying the setting was on Observer, then reloading. I have an X, or crosshairs on my location but the display continues to center on satellite.
I rebooted the machine, uninstalled and reinstalled SatPC32 and read through the manual and FAQs pretty thoroughly, gotta be missing something-
Anyone have any ideas? I'd appreciate any suggestions. Once this is squared away then I'll start fooling with the 9700 and rotor control...
