As a matter of fact I tried a couple of weeks ago with my small setup. I did not hear the beacon carrier (last I heard it several years ago it was just a single tone which changed with the slow rotation of the bird) on 145.812. I remember only having limited success in making contacts when she was nearing perigee AND was sunlit. Maybe someone else has had better luck recently???

Low tech, but I'm NOT taking down my AO-10 class antennas just so I can use a low tech rotor controller..
Very happy with my FoxDelta ST2.  Now to get the radio working and actually get back on the birds...
