In the 1990s, these two modems were prized by linear satellite
AMSAT operators (not cheap either), for their “ground stations”.
Both controllers are currently for sale on eBay by “tubegurl” (Oregon),
at very LOW prices.  Appears to be a large (radio estate).
Paccomm owner, Gwen Reedy, W1BEL (sk), developed the Spirit-2 (initially called Sprint-2) capable of 38.4k receive and 9.6k for satellite mode or packet backbone
