Agreed Zach. Not picking on you. The ham radio part was about usage by "telecoms firms keen to locate rogue transmitters, such as unlicensed ham radios, that are operating within their domains".

I wasn't able to read the story behind the paywall, but the two
paragraph intro did not have the words "ham radio" anywhere in it.
None of the satellites in the "Who's Onboard .." article are amateur
radio projects.
