First, I want to "Thank", Alan, WA4SCA, for his "guidance". He pointed out my problem with "decoding" DUV data. I had forgotten about the "filtered" audio issue. He pointed out that I need to use "9600 baud" data. On my first decoding attempt, I recorded a pass on my phone, cleaned it up in "Audacity" and tried to decode it with the "Funcube" software. That, of course, was a failure. Audio was great. No data. decoded.
Question, Mainly for Icom user's. Do I get the unfiltered Audio / DUV from the* 6-pin mini DIN TNC connector* or the *#12 pin on the accessory connector ? *I don't know if either provides unfiltered audio. How do You Icom guys do it ?
I understand that "Dongles" are perfect, but I don't want a "computer in the mix. Just my Icom IC-xxxx. ( 4 each ) My IC-706 is "ready" in a "Go" bag.
Thanks in Advance W1FXX - Beautiful Sunny Fla. Key's
