As I have  written previously, the newly adopted bylaws are not consistent with Article FIfth of the Articles of Incorporation, in that they purport to give the Board powers that the Articles do not, e.g., the expulsion of a member for any reason other than nonpayment of dues, or rejection of a membership application that was submitted in good form   If the Board attempts to use any of these new "powers", anything they do from that point forward is null and void.

If the present Board disagrees with this, I would like to see a written legal opinion from a member of the D.C. bar to that effect.  I'd be happy to discuss payment of the associated legal fee, off line.
