W1AW/9 will be active from Illinois beginning June 25 and continuing through July 1.
All operations will be from the EN50 grid square. Exchanging a signal report is all that is needed for a valid QSO, so there is no need to struggle with a grid square report if conditions become difficult.
I will plan to be active on AO-7, FO-29, and VO-52. SO-50 operations may be attempted as time allows. Recently the ISS packet BBS has been active and I will plan to operate ISS packet (keyboard QSOs) if the repeater is turned on during the time period allotted. Afternoon and evening passes will be emphasized, with some morning activity when practical here. Activity will be minimal during Field Day hours, since satellite resources will be needed by FD stations. QSLs will be handled through the ARRL. If you need a contact during a particular time period, I will try to be on the air as needed. You can contact me at aa9lc@amsat.org mailto:aa9lc@amsat.org if you have any requests or suggestions.
