I wanted to listen in but that was all I could do. My AO-40 S band downconverter comes out on 2M and I believe that most others also had 2M output. I would have needed another radio and was rapidly running out of hands. Now if it were possible to run U/S for AO-51 that would probably get a lot of AO-40 S band equipment out of storage.

Mode S down link sounds great. I almost had the bird to myself I caught a station with NUK then nothing. Rather tricky tracking the fast moving 51 with a 3 foot dish and chasing doppler all by hand.
