Hi all,
I just tried AO-51 last pass (coming up to around 50-60 degrees in elevation here) and I have to say I think the QRP repeater sounds great, possibly even better than the regular repeater! I think it's going to be in great condition for the JOTA operations.

The "open squelch" is a normal feature of the B side repeater but I do have to say that it wasn't that strong and had deep fades for me as well. I haven't operated on the sats in awhile so I might just be rusty.

Getting ready for JOTA, I just gave the QRP Mode a try. The satellite was difficult to copy on a 66.3 degree pass. Using my arrow antenna I had to compensate for deep fades. Plus, the squelch was open. Anyone else having the same experience?
Thanks & 73
