When they were forced to removed the 800 Mhz capability, that is when they changed the filtering and the desense on Mode J began.

Unfortunately we can't see whether or not the serial number is 5 or 7 digits. The newer 7 digit models desense themselves when transmitting on 2 meters and receiving on 70cm.
