Yes but To use the rig as a cross band repeater is a different story. To input on VHF and retransmit on UHF is crossband repeat Using the rig as a repeater. I have an HT that is full duplex but is unable to crossband repeat(rebroadcast on another band) Am I correct in my statements I hope so Howard VE4ISP

Again, incorrect. Think about it for a second. In order for a radio to receive a signal on one band and simultaneously repeat it on another (the meaning of cross band repeat), it has to be capable of full duplex operation. I challenge both of you to find an example that will cross band repeat but isn't full duplex.
I think maybe you are confusing cross band repeat with cross band split capable.
