Hi Robert:
John hit most of the points right on the head but I wanted to just toss in my $0.02.
I singled out AO-51 for few reasons: A. It's the one I have the most experience on, B. It seems to be the most popular EasySat, and C. It's the most straightforward to operate.
SO-50, AO-27, and AO-16 all have their specific caveats in regard to their on board timers, or their "different" operating mode. I have never worked AO-27 or AO-16 and I didn't want to speak on a subject that I had no experience with. SO-50 can actually violate "Don't transmit unless you can't hear it" if the timer has expired, and I didn't want attempt to make distinctions. Perhaps a SO-50 specific document might be in order, but lets cross that bridge when we come to it.
AO-51 was singled out due to it's popularity, and my comfort level talking about it. However, you are right, and most, if not all, of the document can be applied to other single channel satellites.
