My ICOM IC-9100 has been
working fine for a long time, even this past weekend. A strange
issue popped up today. While on RS-44, I went to find myself as I
usually do. I pressed the SUB button, Pressed CW and the radio
immediately started transmitting. No dits and dashes as from the
keyer, just a solid tone. I unplugged the keyer from the radio and
tried again, same thing.
I did the soft reset, VFO/MEMO and F-INP/ENT buttons while turning
on. I then reloaded my memories from the RT Systems programmer.
Repeated the CW on a local simplex freqency and same thing.
Any ideas? Of course I can whistle or say 1..1...1..1 to find
myself which is really not recommended.
