I am not sure when it may have started, but there is a 1/4-20 threaded "hole" (actually 2) underneath the foam handle on my Arrow. I was able to screw in a bolt from one side through to the other.
So if you have a tripod, you could replace the stock bolt on the quick release part with a longer one and screw it in through both sides. I would think you *could* get away with doing only one side, but I would attempt to get both sides.

I have had my Arrow ll antenna for a number of years now. I have seen probably hundreds of these mounted to a camera tripod using different methods. Does anybody have an easy design they might share? 73's Jim WA5QAP _______________________________________________ Sent via AMSAT-BB@amsat.org.
