Does desense on 2m occur with using Mode B FM satellites in full duplex on other current HTs?

Also, other than the battery, I'm not sure the TH-D72 will outperform the IC-W32 for satellite use. The lowest cost option would be to simply acquire a new battery for the aging IC-W32 unless there are other problems with it.

The Kenwood TH-D72 is the only in production HT that is truly full duplex in that it won't desense the receiver on 70cm when you TX on 2m. This is important for SO-50 and any birds with similar band usage. It also has APRS/packet so you can use it with digipeaters.
