Hi Jerry,
I have used Winorbit but am not in front of that computer at the moment but I'll try to help.
To get the new list of satellites, download new keplerian elements. AMSAT has them:
http://www.amsat.org/amsat-new/tools/keps.php
Download the .2li file.
Save it to the keps sub-directory of the directory you installed WinOrbit to.
There is a manual update and automatic. If you turn automatic on, when you restart Winorbit it will see the new file in the keps directory and load it. Autoupdate can be turned on under: Options:Misc Settings
The Winorbit helpfile explains this further.
Hope this helps.
Kevin

Hi; I have finally been able to download Winorbit . The problem is that it has very few satellites And a date of year 2000. I tried to update the keps but I couldn,t get this to work. Does anyone out there have any better luck with the program.??? Jerry w0sat _______________________________________________ Sent via AMSAT-BB@amsat.org. Opinions expressed are those of the author.
