I picked up an early PicoPacket at a recent flea and I'm trying to set it up for the handheld and the sats.
I already have a TNC-3 (ver 6.0) so naturally I figured that I could work out the commands. Not so.
I got it talking to the computer at 9600 baud but any sent packets are read on the screen as gibberish (though real alphabetic/numeric gibberish, not the symbols you see when you are at the wrong baud rate.)
Of course there is no quick start guide or manual with it and the company seems to have successfully kept such things off the net. I have Googled what little brains I have left, out.
Can someone help walk me through a basic setup or does anyone have a copy of the quickstart guide (or the manual if it's not too long?)
Startup version is 1995 so it doesn't have any of the 2 port upgrades to it or anything...just plain old vanilla.
Please reply off list direct to Rogerkola at aol dot com.
Thanks in advance!
