I was able to work Tom as W1AW/KH6 at 0155 UTC, near the midpoint of that shallow (maximum elevation of 9 degrees) pass for me. I heard Tom work KO6TZ in California before me, and I had the pleasure of briefly talking with Tom's assistant operator before we completed the QSO. It was nice to log another call from the islands.
