Thank you for your comments, I plan on "carry on" for my luggage, my Elk antenna is to long for my 21 inch carry on suitcase. I found plans for a 2 ele vhf/3 ele uhf using a 33 inch fiberglass arrow and .025 music wire. The wire will bend around the inside of the suit case and the arrow could be cut to fit and use a piece of rubber hose or plastic tube to hold it together when I want to use it.
