Hello Bob, In these parts, North Texas Microwave Society (https://www.ntms.org/) is a gathering of microwave enthusiasts. I'm a relative newcomer to this group, but there are a lot of good articles and presentations on the website. W1GHZ (http://www.w1ghz.org/) has a site chock-full of various microwave projects, ideas, and publications. The RTL-SDR folks have an entire category dedicated to microwave projects and links, but it is not all amateur radio. https://www.rtl-sdr.com/tag/microwave/ These sites just scratch the surface of microwave work.
