Don't know much about this radio but sure had a terrible experience with Icom and the IC-3230A I bought some years ago. There service compared to Kenwood really stinks. I bought a Yaesu FT-847 because of this experience. Hope you don't have a problem and need to send the radio to Washington state for repair. Good luck with it. 73's << John

I have one and really like it. It has the TCXO, which I think makes all KINDS of differences. Not just stability, but phase noise as well, which affects other things to some degree. I like it, no complaints. Get the TCXO, and get at least one DSP module.

Hi all,
I'm thinking of retiring my Kenwood TS711/811 combination in favour of the Icom 910, so I can add 23cm and 9600baud i/o to my station.
Reading some of the reviews on ehams have not entirely been favourable. I'd like to hear from any one who owns or has used the 910 before I part with my $s.
regards
Tim
