How about if you set it up as a repeater with a custom offset?

I can CREATE a custom -1310 kHz split frequency as described on page 3-6 of the IC-9700 basic manual. The split really works!

But when I SAVE the split frequency pair to a channel memory, only VFO A is stored.

I will look into the "auto repeater" offset setting to see if that prevents me from storing a custom split.
