TOM>> … MEETING, WITH 10 MINUTES OF THE HOSTS TRYING TO GE THEIR CAMERA WORKING

Tom, I feel your frustration.

A long, long time ago, I was scheduled to speak at a college’s Media Center. “Just bring your computer, we’ll
get it connected … “  Yeah, right.

Couldn't get my 17” MacBook Pro connected to their “media center,” and had to perform without visuals.
Thankfully, we had a great pass of a satellite to work mid-meeting - and we DID have a blast.

BUT - the next day, I researched projectors, and invested in a great Mac-compatible Hitachi model, plus a 6’ Da-Lite screen, which I
carry around with me - and be in total control of my shows.

NOW - I’ve been performing many meetings via Zoom during/since the pandemic. My presentation proposal to groups points that out. I recently had a group ask if they could use their GoogleMeets account. With the quotation, “You only get one chance to make a great first impression” in mind - I politely re-advised them that the presentation was available using Zoom …

And so it goes.

Looking forward to your recording!
