Thinking about it I’m skeptical, but I’m still wondering if anyone has tried using the IC-R30 as a small, portable receiver for use with either linear or FM sats. Its claimed sensitivity is in the 0.3 microvolt range, so I am curious if, with a 6dB or so handheld yagi, it would have good enough ears for receiving downlink signals.
Still looking for a DE QSO, by the way. I’m always happy to pass out FN54/Maine if anyone needs it.
