Indeed, I am participating to the ASRTU-1 (AO-123) mission and been the first worldwide to received its telemetry about 15 mins after deployment, just that I was ready in the right location and at the right time, no great technical achievement honestly.
That said, indeed we move from AO-01 to 123, but unfortunately regulatory and financing issues for us HAM are becoming a great hurdle for the future.

Note that AMSAT just issued number 123, an unimaginably large number to me as it was only AO8 when I got started. A quick look at the IARU web site shows many projects underway and applied for.
