Hello Dough
The birdie is always present.
I had a TS-2000 and could work without too many problems the SO-50 using a preamplifier to pass over the birdie on the smiter.

Due to the difficulty on finding a decent 910H (and then the often high price being asked), I am considering a TS-2000.
Is the little UHF birdie present on all models (all years)? Is there not a fix as of yet?
I am very much willing to pay up to $1200 right now for a decent 910H, and although I don't mind, I don't need the 1.2Ghz module. Otherwise, I am having to consider other options as this rig is for a classroom environment for the next few months, including an ARISS contact.
Looking for advise, thoughts, ideas, etc. A few have helped out here a good bit, of which I am very thankful. (both leading me to the 910H for what I find hands down solid advice, but I am about up against the wall now...)... Those that have 910's listed for sale in my price range won't return emails..... Suppose they are sold.
Thank you on advanced for your replies! And Merry Christmas!
