Interesting thanks. I'll have to look into this. I'd get a lot of value from being able to controll two or more receivers at the same time (as well as one transmitter.)

Hi Bill,
SatPC32 will let you run two different rigs at the same time. This works well if you use one to TX and another to RX, using SatPC32 ver 12.8
Lately, I have been wanting to simulaneously control 2 radios--both with TX and RX. So, what I do is run a second copy of an older version of SatPC32 (ver 12.7). You can install the older version into a different location and set it up to run only the radio (not track box). I don't think it's possible to run two copies of 12.8 because of the install/default locations for the data files... Fortunately, 12.7 keeps the files in the same directory as the installed program, so you can run as many copies of that as you want!
It takes a bit of work to get 2 copies running and configured correctly, since you have to configure them separately. But the files with frequency info, etc. can be copied so they use the same frequencies etc. It's not too bad, really, given the benefits.
Why would I want to do this? I have two rigs I want to control...TS-2000X and TS-790A. This lets me hear both AO-51 repeaters at once (or do digital/telemetry on one, voice on the other), let's me use one for S-band receive, and so on. It's actually quite handy to mix/match transmitters/receivers.

Isn't there a software program that automatically tunes two rigs so that each remains on a sat's uplink and downlink frequencies during a pass and corrects for doppler?
I recall reading about such a program but now can't find it.
Thanks, Bill NZ5N
