Hi all,
Thanks to all the people who responded to my questions on the 910.
I have decided to buy one and retire the 811 and 711.
I'll be using it predominantly for sat work with the occasionally foray into VHF/UHF field days.
Some on the concerns about its deafness and intermod performance I believe can be overcome having found alternate alignment procedures to tweak up the rx.
Looking at the circuit diagrams in the service manual show that the rx an tx are fairly standard affairs and I should have no trouble maintaining it.
Thanks again to all
regards
Tim
