The specified VFO will automatically accept VHF, UHF and L frequencies (if you have that module). To switch bands send the command bytes 07 B0. As Mark, N8MH, mentioned already: You don't need to switch anything manually.

Do you manually have to switch bands to regain frequency control or does the IC-910 become smart enough to switch on its own when the module is installed?
Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated.
