Just a note... The Satellite Handbook is updated as of this year... Another good place to find out about Sats is AMSAT.org There you can purchase a book on "Getting started" and have many answers to your present questions... Good luck on the birds. 73, Dee, NB2F NJ AMSAT co-ordinator

I been reading this group. for some reson I did not think we could post to it. I would like to say hello. Ive always liked the birds. I have not made a contract with a sat ywt. trying to read a bit before I try. Not sure what one I should try first. IM not really sure what resources there are to use there seems to be so many it kinda overwelming were to start. LOL Well just wanted to say hello.
Keep it up, Jimmy...It may seem daunting at first, but it is really very simple...
A good place to start is the Satellite Handbook from ARRL..It IS dated, but the info there will get you started...
Newbie questions are welcome here, of course....just ask...
