I use Orbitron and WISPDDE and have no problems at all, Homebrew CATCable, the design I found on the internet somewhere and works 100% regards Gus M0IKB ----- Original Message ----- From: "Andrew Glasbrenner" glasbrenner@mindspring.com To: "John Marranca, Jr" KB2HSH@amsat.org; amsat-bb@amsat.org Sent: Thursday, August 28, 2008 4:04 PM Subject: [amsat-bb] Re: Orbitron and WISPDDE
SatPC32 does it beautifully, without any other add-on programs. I recently worked from Alaska to Michigan on AO-7 Mode B (excuse me, Mode UV) with nothing more than my 817, laptop and cat cable, and Arrow antenna.

Good morning...
Anybody here using Orbitron and the WISPDDE program to control their radio? I am curious as to whether the FT-817 would work in this way. I already use Orbitron, so the charm in it is that I wouldn't need to use an older package such as Instant Tune/Track to achieve half-duplex.
Thanks!
