David,

THANK YOU for posting this to AMSAT-BB.    I’ve often wanted to try EME and I’ve been collecting parts to put together a separate EME station, but hadn’t had time to get that done yet.   I’ve been on FT4/FT8 on HF and VHF/UHF so I already had WSJT-X installed.  After seeing your post, I looked at DL7APV’s website and configured Q65-60B at the last minute.   I decided to check the horizon at moonrise with my 18 element yagi before switching to the satellite antennas and was amazed to see DL7APV calling CQ.    I answered and couldn’t hardly believe it when he answered!    My first ever EME QSO is now in the log, and it will remain one of my most memorable QSO’s for a long time!

Subject: [AMSAT-BB] EME with DL7APV

Just found this on Twitter.
So if you want to see if your LEO setup is capable of working or hearing 70cms EME, this could be the chance.
The time presumably will be whenever the moon is above the horizon in Germany and at your QTH.
Software would be WSJT-x or similar

Bernd DL7APV asked me to QSP to the #AMSAT community that he will QRV this coming Thu, Sat, Sun and listen especially for #satellite setups. Use your chance to make your first ever #EME QSO - biggest challenge in #AmateurRadio

A quick look at the antennas at http://www.dl7apv.de/  shows an array of 128 x 11 element yagis.
