50kg! to SSO? I hope they manage to get a repeater or transponder on there along with whatever digital relay it looks like they are planning. It might be a good opportunity for a PE1RAH transponder, or the L/U repeater AMSAT-OZ was developing!

Wow! 50kg, and 3-axis stabilized! I'm guessing Mitsubishi Heavy
Industries is funding and building the bus and the universities are providing the payload. I wonder why the life ("lifetime in orbit") is only predicted to be 6 months? Aren't most SSO orbits somewhat higher than LEO? I'd think that with that much mass and higher it would last longer. Or maybe it is a poor translation and the limitation is consumables (like fuel)...
Anyway, it will be interesting to see if there are some cool pictures if nothing else!
