Your setup should be more than adequate for working AO-73. It's just a matter of getting the frequencies right. Try my suggestion. I'll look for you on this pass.

One more note. After the pass, I decided to check and see if I was actually emitting RF on the uplink freq. So I cranked the power all the way down, sent some dits, and I could hear the RF on one of the FT817 rigs. So I am transmitting on 70 CM
