Frank, If the SAT activators fill out the info properly/completely for theirconfirmations in LoTW, it includes the State where they operated. I've found that the SOTA Map site gives very helpful info on Gridsand I use it to find places to operate from. See: Main - list and display SOTA summits on map - sotamaps.org

Let me first thank all the rovers out there across the USA. Its great fun chasing the grids you visit.
The one ask I have is to announce your State every so often just to help keep the log correct. I use grid square lookup https://www.levinecentral.com/ham/grid_square.php but often its not clear what state the operator is in. Does anyone have another grid lookup that has better state borders drawn ? I sometimes see a grid square that’s in two states.
I follow all the twitter feeds but sometimes the state reference gets lost.
In the grand scheme of things it not a big deal and this is not a complaint but just trying to keep the log accurate.
Thanks again to all the roamers out there. Stay safe.
