Hello everyone,
This 'breaking news' will be too late if we wait for this weekend's ANS news cycle so here's a heads up now ...
From the ARLD032 DX news:
UNITED STATES, WC5C. Members of the Tri-County Amateur Radio Club (WC5C) will once again activate Pelican Island (TX050L) on August 14, starting at 1400z. Pelican Island is an uninhabited island on Eagle Mountain Lake in North Central Texas. The club members make an adventure of it, getting to the Island by kayak, canoe and various other water craft. Activity will be typically 40, 20, 15 and 10 meters. Modes are usually CW and SSB, sometimes satellite FM and PSK31. QSL info is available on QRZ.com.
