It was almost exactly ten years ago that I was able to
conduct a Skype presentation to a ham fest in Alaska ...

But such sessions were NOT the “norm” by any means. Zoom has enabled
all to painlessly “show out stuff” to the planet - more so during the past fifteen
months than ever before.

So fast-forward to an hour ago. I completed my 129th show to a wonderful club
in Hendersonville, North Carolina: the Blue Ridge ARC - an ARRL-affiliate
club for THIRTY years! As with all my shows, AMSAT, the ARRL, and ARISS
are prominently promoted.

My wife - who, when available, - will handle the audio board and the Chat Box for
these sessions (“Clubs get TWO for the price of ONE … " (g).) As a public relations
professional, she watches the reactions of attendees every show. (And lets me
know which “one-liners” fall flat … )

"Thanks so much, Clint, for a great presentation to our club this evening!

Sorry to bore those who view this as, “Clint promoting himself.” I find that
assessment to be amusing. If a club finds a presentation to be of value, THEY
might write an unsolicited “testimonial” to that effect. “Clint” is not “promoting
himself.” Someone else sees something of value

So - as long as clubs ask, I feel obligated to spread the “gospel” of “Working
the Sats” on behalf of AMSAT. And as long as I receive clubs’ unsolicited
testimonials of appreciation, I know I am in the right orbit. Bad pun ...

COMING UP: Two shows in one night for AMSAT SSC Portage County ARS
and for Portland ARC - an ARRL Affiliate since 1947! Then to Longmont, Colorado
(ARRL friend since 1972). Followed by a visit to my orthopaedic surgeon for
shoulder repair surgery - after which you just might not hear from me for up to
eight weeks
