I tried JO97 tonight around 0330Z and couldn;t hear myself on the downlink. Does it sometimes shut off at night?

I try to work JO97 almost every day and almost no one is on. Mid day today it was just K8YSE and me. It’s too bad because the bird’s performance is quite good.

Tom, Craig, I tried JO-97, here in EM97XA, on 10/14/2021.There was a 23:15 EDT, (03:13 UTC 10/15/21). I called CQ and never heard anyone. I was never able to find my downlink. Are you sure this bird is even on? I tried both phone, CW and FT4. Is the bird active over the Eastern US? It's hard to get any information from the Amsat Website. 73' AI4LL Jack L. Blake

We are doing a radio in the park day a week from this Saturday and that’s one of the pastors I’m going to do in mid day over Texas. Maybe we can scarf up some other activity on the 23rd on JO- 97

Tom, I routinely call CQ on JO-97's evening passes here in socal. Don't
think I've had one station return my call. Woefully underused. It has a great signal.
