My recollection is that just participating in Field Day from the ISS has been enjoyable for those who did so. They don't need to go for an award to have fun, but also likely don't have the time. I think it was astronaut Susan Helms who stirred up quite a discussion by asking what their designation would be. Home power, yes I suppose, but also solar powered, battery, etc. My log (2001) says "1A Battery on ISS", and it was clear that she had a blast.
Scanning back in my logs, it looks like the last time I made a contact with the ISS on FD was in 2014, so not all that long ago. They were running "2A DX".

Hi folks-Everyone on the ISS has at least a tech license. It would interesting if they would try for WAS, VUCC, DXCC or whatever just for fun. 73 Bob W7LRD

Hi folks,
Anyone heard of any plans for the crew of the ISS to participate in Field Day? Or, are those glorious days over?
