[amsat-bb] Field portable multi-mode duplex options?

The FT-818 might have been of interest if it had cross-band duplex capability, but I don't believe it does. I'd prefer to see a model from Elecraft that did. There do not seem to be many battery friendly portable options for satellite operation. I'd like to know if there are.
